NSBE Directives
Academic Excellence
Academic Excellence is the area towards which we will dedicate a majority of our efforts in order to truly address the issues that are facing our students. This year we will continue to work to increase academic performance and engineering retention rates of NSBE members. In addition we will enhance the educational skill-set of NSBE members through experiential learning opportunities and innovation.

Chapter Development
Based on the Society's metrics, we want to understand the condition/status of chapter membership. Programs will also be assessed to significantly improve chapter success on all levels.
National Directives
The National Intent is to "Ensure that every NSBE member gets the fullness of the NSBE experience, takes advantage of all NSBE has to offer, and pays it forward for years to come.”
To complete this objective, Chairperson Niasia Williams has set National Directives to ensure our intent by making MAJ-OR moves.

M- Message (Branding at Each Level)
A- Activate (Social, Academic, and Technical Engagement)

Regional Directives
The Regional Intent is to graduate 10,000 NSBE members annually by the year 2025. Regional Chairperson Kevin Banks and the rest of the regional board have worked to make this happen through our Regional Directives:
1) Improve the NSBE Membership Experience
-Reduce chapter struggles
- Engage regional membership
2) Increase NSBE Exposure in Region Four
-Promote local community engagement
